I think Phipps had criminal intent because there are so many facts pointing towards that and so many less points proving otherwise. State v Phipps shows the reality of a jilted person who certainly tends to come to the point of frustration in which he or she does something unimaginable. No matter how much a person has got trauma when murder is done in full conciousness and plotting then it is definitely the person who has had a criminal intent.
